This morning we had to get up at 3.30. Johan had to work before his school day would start. Today is a day with exams training, as he has three exams tomorrow.
Ok... I went out with him, making his breakfast and lunch (to go). I just noted down the phone number of his school in my calendar and poof! Everything fell out and we stood there at 4, completely in the dark.
After finding some matches we lit some candles. Johan went for work 15 minutes later than planned - and I did not dare to get back to bed. I did some knitting by candle light, using three colours of Bunny Hop Out of my stash basket I picked some needles - and a mitten is on its way to be created.
I called the kids at 6.10 - a few minutes before that I checked my windlights. Two out of tree had a workable candle inside. I lit them and took one upstairs. Five minutes later, the lights went back on.
It seems every year in December it happens to our town... as it did last year and the year before... I think it is a creepy tradition.
Ohhh very cool and kind of creepy. Is it the knitting ghost who begs you to knit by candlelight each year? I'll have to try that, and let you know how it goes!
