The last week of our Summer Vacation... and since we bought ourselves another car, we were able to go out on daytrips. In the weekend we went to my parents in law in Drachten, (North of our country) and on Monday we went south, to visit Vaals and Aachen (Germany) The photo is showing the point where three flags are standing together as friends; Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands in the middle. A stone marks the point where the borders of these three countries come together.
It is absolutely interesting though... to visit places in your own country that you've never seen before... this was one of them.
oooooo....I have a picture of that somewhere I think(I will have to look for it now)! My friend's mom took us on a vacation to Netherlands and we went camping...and to some fun parks. That was when we were living in Germany. So long ago.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI grew up in New York State, and used to get a big kick out of straddling the line on the bridge between New York and Canada, because I was in two countries at once. You got to be in three countries at once!
